Avocado and the Healthiest Fats
If you are afraid of eating avocados due to their fat content, just relax for this is a misconception. In fact, they are a substantial part of the Mediterranean diet. It will not add to your bulk because it contains oleic acid, the healthiest fat and a monounsaturated fat at that.

A study of people with quite high cholesterol levels, revealed lowering of LDL and raising of HDL levels after they were put on a diet rich in avocados for a week. Scott Heron says they are rich in vitamin E an antioxidant, B vitamins and folic acid. B Vitamins protect our arteries and our heart and for its effect on Homocysteine.
Avocados also contain lots of Latin, a substance present in green peas. This protects our retina, inhibits cataracts and macular degeneration. The nutrients present in avocados also prevent oral cancers and types of tumors. How much fat in an avocado does not matter at all because they are good fats!
